Archetypes
The Reborn roster has 19 archetypes. Each one is a distinct character archetype with its own held items, hair grammar, and accessory pattern. The archetype is rolled at mint time alongside the rarity tier and the fluro variant.
The roster has been deliberately built to fit the opera-cabaret theme. Nothing generic. Nothing filler.

The Acrobat troupe
Four of the 19 are dedicated Acrobat variants. They share the Acrobat archetype tag but each renders with its own composition. The troupe was expanded on 2026-05-21 because the first Acrobat variant came out so well that one wasn't enough.

The DJ — the Sonic-era arrival
The DJ archetype is the bridge character — over-ear headphones (a node to the Sonic chain's electronic brand), a vinyl-disc halo, and a holographic music sheet floating in place of the usual scroll. The DJ is the most "Sonic-coded" archetype and renders especially strong in fluro pink and Holo Iridescent palettes.
Pets
Two archetypes carry pets — Dog Walker and Cat Keeper. The pets render in the fluro accent colour of the parent Fantum, which means a Fluro Green Dog Walker has a fluro-green dog. The pets are decorative; they do not have separate stats or carry across resales.
Monarch and the Dev Monarch
Monarch is one of the 19 archetypes in the random roll. Any Fantum can roll Monarch.
Dev Monarch is the 1-of-1 royal character minted via Fantums.mintKing() to the founder wallet. It is NOT part of the random roster — it's outside the 10,860 supply and does not appear in any standard roll. See The Dev Monarch for the full spec.
How archetypes interact with tiers
The archetype roll is independent of the rarity tier roll. Any archetype can appear at any tier — there's no rule that says Diva is always Legendary or Stagehand is always Common. A Stagehand at Legendary tier is rare but possible, and it's a delightful character. A Diva at Common is also possible, and she renders in Pumpkin Gold (the OG callback palette).
This independence is intentional. It means each mint has two dimensions of surprise — what character you got, and what tier they showed up at.
The roster is locked
Removed during development:
- Phantom — the user said "hate phantom" on 2026-05-20. Removed.
Added during development:
- Nerd — replaced Phantom. Round glasses + book. Reads cleanly.
- Acrobat troupe expansion — the original single Acrobat got "fricken cool man" and a request for more variants. We now have four.
The 19 listed above is final. We are not adding more archetypes pre-launch.
